Meet the Team
David Akers
Managing Director
David is a strategic communications and sustainability expert with twenty years’ in-house and consulting experience in investor relations, corporate affairs, sustainability and corporate development. He has global investor, communications, sustainability, supply chain and operations experience in a range of sectors including consumer, food and beverage, agriculture, infrastructure and resources. David has held Group Head of Investor Relations and Group Head of Sustainability roles for ASX and NZX listed companies. In these roles he developed and implemented communications and sustainability strategies, advised boards and executive leadership teams on global industry dynamics, and provided leadership on several major corporate development projects. David is deeply engaged in the investor relations, sustainability and finance industries, currently holding leadership roles as Chair of the Australasian Investor Relations Association’s ESG & Sustainability Committee and is a global member of IFRS’s Sustainability Reference Group.
He has presented on investor relations, sustainability and ESG at conferences for the Australasian Investor Relations Association, Responsible Investment Association of Australasia, Governance Institute of Australia and IR Magazine.

Janine Akers
Operations Director
Janine is an accomplished professional with over ten years’ experience in project management, operations management, customer service, marketing and sales. Prior to Wolf Ridge Advisory, Janine held Operations and Project Management roles with leading marketing, branding and sales companies. Throughout her career, Janine has demonstrated an exceptional ability to deliver against client objectives. Janine is known for her talent in developing and implementing strategic solutions. She is passionate about building strong relationships, committed to delivering outstanding results in every project she undertakes, and always strives to exceed expectations. Additionally, reflecting her creative passion, she holds a diploma in interior design.
